dynamic thumbnails

hello,

i'm just starting .net and am in need of a bit of help. i've written a page that allows users to upload images to the server. now i need to display them. i'd like to create dynamic thumnails of the images at runtime and display them as a link to the original with a caption.

can someone point me in the right direction?
