We are using java script to update text fields in flash based on an outside event. At the same time, we would like to display a thumbnail that goes with the text. For example, the text might say "Mona Lisa" and we would want to show a thumbnail sized picture in the flash player.

I haven't found a way to show a jpeg thumbnail or to change it from java script or html. Can it be done? How? [sig][/sig]

You will not be able to dynamically insert images into a Flash movie without using a server tool like Macromedia's Generator (Or the *much* cheaper Swift-Generator). I would also recommend starting to use server based programming (like PHP) so that you will get good results even with users that for one reason or another don't have javascript available.
