I have been reading some tuts on another site on bringing in text and jpgs dynamically. This was my first lesson in this, so I still have a lot to learn.

Is this what most people (flash experts) do for their sites?

Or is it more for a website that is constantly being updated?

I expect most people do this. I always do. Makes site content easy to amend/update. It keeps file size down to a minimum as text and pics are only loaded as and when the user requires them. i.e. your site is dynamic and not static.

its very easy to do in a programming sense. like everything new you will have to do it one or two times (and make mistakes) before it all sinks in but dont let the fact that loading content in this manner requires actionscript put you off.

i have some fla's you can download, disect, and see how they tick. find them here.

Thanks. I will do that.

Actionscript boggles my mind. Some of it i understand then there is some that is way over my head. I chose Graphic Design as my major because i hated my programming (basic) and math classes. I never thought that it would lead me back. Oh well.... It helps having the outcome turn out fun and exciting.

I would imagine it helps to have a programming bknd in learning Actionscript.
