DYNAMIC TEXT IN FLA 1

Hi, was wondering if anyone knows how to create dynamic text in Flash MX and how to perform the updates. I was shown once but lost the notes. I know it involves notepad but forget the rest. I am getting ready to launch an entertainment site which will need updating. Should I just restrict dynamic text to DW. I really just want to use Flash to design animated buttons. I would like to do the whole site in Flash for a greater effect but feel that this may cause efficiency problems. What would be the best option?

Flash works great as a dynamic front end from either text file or database.

In MX you need to create a LoadVars object which reads the information in from your textfile and displays in in a dynamic textbox:


getInformation= new LoadVars();
getInformation.onLoad=function(){
myDynamicTextfield.text=this.content;
}
getInformation.load('myTextFile.txt');

...and in your text file you need to set up the variable which contains the data:

&content=the content of this text file to be read into Flash
