Hi.. I've been trying to build a dynamic Select & search prompt in Report Studio but seem to be failing miserably so was wondering if anyone could help... Here's the scenario:

- User is searching from a customer from a list, there are 11 different types of customer name they will want to search for.
- I want to give the user the facility to choose a name type from a standard drop down
- I want this type of name to translate to the Select & Search prompt so they are only searching the selected name type.

My thoughts were that I build some kind of dynamic Query Subject that chooses it's data based on the name type chosen..

e.g. If user chooses name type 1 then query subject should source its data from QS_1, if the user chooses name type 2 then it should use QS_2 and so on...

Any ideas? Or am I talking complete nonsense?

Have sorted this using #prompt()# macro in a parameter map to read the table name extension from the drop down.. Works like a dream...
