Dynamic Properties Task with Query

Has anyone successfuly used the 'query' type in a dynamic properties task?

I have one I have been working on I can get it to work great with an ini file but when I create a query that returns exactly the same value as the ini file does nothing happens.

Apparently not, if any one is interested I found a dumb but usable workaround. Post a reply if you are interested and I will post the workaround its a bit long to go into if I am the only one who cares.
