There was a thread on this before but the only reply contains a dead-end link.

Is it possible to dynamically rebuild the default parameter list in a parameter field?

Thanks but this post doesn't lead anywhere. It just puts you on the Infotrain homepage. If you search the site you get a zillion links to sign-up for classes with infotrain. I am not prepared to do that just to solve this problem.

The only Crystal Decisions product that allows for dynamic picklists is Seagate Info. Those 'dynamic' pick lists are only as current as the recurring basis upon which they are scheduled.

CR hasn't made this feature a priority. Since you are a programmer you might want to consider creating a simple front end for your report(s). Then you can retrieve the pick list in advance and pass the selected item to the report parameter. This gives you full control over the launching of the report.
