Dynamic news and content

Hello
I want to start a web site for my city, but the first big problem is to get the info that changes every day. It needs to be automatic, 'cause I don't have a big staff to update it every day at 00:00 hrs. Where can I find the info (news, stock news, exchange rate, etc) open to the public? I mean the discrete values, not to frame someone else page. Any ideas? Thank you
