Hello all,
I'll get right to the point: We are running NDS 4 and have a windows NT domain that contains user accounts and computer accounts. So far we have been using the Zenworks starter pack for novell policies on our WinXP machines to standardize the desktop environment and it has been working fine, however we are going to be migrating to an all win2k domain within the next quarter. My problem is this: We have been using the Zenworks policies to create the Dynamic local user on the Xp Machines by using NDS credentials, with the volitile user option.....this is because we have a large number of tellers and we dont have enough licenses for them to access the NT server for authentication, plus the NT domain is basically used for email accounts and websense integration as well. Since the tellers have such a high rate of turnover we dont want the XP machines to retain there profiles when they login and logout, thus the dynamic local user setting for the Zenworks policy which allows them to log into the XP machine without having a local user account or NT domain account. Here's what I was wondering, is there anyway to do a similar setup with Local Group Policy on the Xp workstations or Domain level policies for a win2k domain, to have the tellers profile deleted once they log off similar to the dynamic local user with the volitile user option? We just dont want all of the branch PC's to get bogged down with multiple user accounts and profiles.
Sorry this was so long winded...ive never submitted a question to a forum like this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Dustin
