Hello: I have just developed my first report using the dynamic List of Values in Crystal Reports XI. It runs great on my machine. No problems.
However, when I post to Crystal Reports Server XI for the users, I notice that if me or the users try to change the dynamic parameter to something else in the drop-down list, then they are prompted for the database password.
I don't want them to know the database password - it can be a dangerous thing.
We are using Crystal Reports XI, Service Pack 3.
We are using Crystal Reports Server XI on a Windows 2000 Server platform with the CMS database running on SQL 2000 database, Tomcat 5.0.27.
I have tried logging onto the BOExi server and changed the RAS, Crystal Reports Job Server, List of Values Job Server, and the CMS to an account that has administrative rights on the box. It didn't work, even after I bounced the CMS and Tomcat.
Of course, I have already went into Process, Database, in the CMC and put the database password in there and selected "Use same database logon as when report is run" and hit update, as I always do for adhoc reports.
Thanks.
