Dynamic extension

Have a site with 3300 and LBG with OCS. Extensions on the 3300 start with 53XX and extensions on OCS are 5553XX.Is it possible to use dynamic extension to ring both numbers simultaneously and how can I achieve this in the programming ?

No not yet, Mitel have found issues with dynamic extension and duall forking (as it's known).

The way to do this is to use Mobile Extension for dual forking. It's documented on MOL

I know Mitel are investigating for a solution in 4.1

Hmmm.....Ive checked MOL and cant find the documentation. I called mitel tech support and they sed the only way to do the forking is to either use dynamic extension or ME. Unless the engineer who picked up my ticket wasnt 100% certain and forgot to mention the problems with it.

Statement on a recent bulletin:

Q. Can the Personal Ring Groups (PRG) and Dynamic Extension feature introduced with MCD 4.0 be used for dual forking?
A. Initial testing of this scenario has identified a number of issues that require further investigation. Further investigation and testing of this solution is planned for later in 2009, so until the investigation and testing has been completed, PRG and Dynamic Extension is NOT a supported configuration for dual forking.

I have a copy of the install guide with ME, it's in the knowledge base on MOL if you search under 3300 for Dual Forking

You could use 2 ways:

1. external hotdesking with a personal ring group

2. or create a key thats call fwd always to the ocs ext and fwd or reroute the key to the ocs, second would be easier

How does the 2nd option fork the call ?

as i said in my original reply, dyanamic extension is not supported with dua forking as yet

The only supported way for this to work at present is using Mobile Extension server/

Can#t see how your second option would work either. That's not what's being asked for here.
