Hi All,

Gotta strange one pop up and raising to see if anyone else has experienced.

Have dynamic extension setup on a 5320 handset for quite a while now, working fine, twinning to a cell / mobile device.... Until now.

The client called to say now the 5320 rings only once, after that the user can't pick up the call.... Though the dynamic extension process continues, calling the cell / mobile phone, and the call can be answered when it comes through.

Did some testing with client and if you disable connectivity in the peronal ring group or using presence toggle key on the handset, the handset rings continually as it should, and when you activate again the issue occurs. It doesn't matter if you call the extension internal or through isdn indial facility, the result is the same.
No forwarding is setup on the handset either.

Sounds like a creeping resource issue within Ax and a reboot will probably fix it. Have spkoen with mitel support and nothing on their books about it and have been asked to take SDR and send through.

System setup
Ax running MCD 4.2 (clustered with 5 other Ax controllers)
2 x ons 24 port cards (50% populated)
3 x Basic rate isdn trunks (etsi)

Check the timers for the EDHU compared to the Desk Phone

I've seen that timers change depending on the active status of the EHDU.

For example, if the No Answer timer of the EDHU is set to 25 seconds and the no answer timer of the deskset is set to 15 seconds then the deskset timer aplies when the EDHU is inactive and the EDHU timer applies when it is active.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Anything change at the carrier level? Seen lost of posts regarding EHDU and ring groups where some carries send something to the 3300 that makes it think the call was answered so it stops ringing the desk phone. It does however continue to ring the cell phone. Just a thought.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
