I am using CR10 and am creating a line chart that displays the number of calls by week, on a rolling 3 month basis. I am showing data on a rolling 5 year basis, over those same 3 months. So for this instance, i will have a data line for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, with data points on each week over the past 3 months. This report is to track trending.
Here's the issue. The weeks during the rolling 3 months for each of the five years are different. In 2003, the weeks went from 6/01 - 8/31. In 2004, it was 6/2 - 8/29. In 2005, 6/01 - 8/28. In 2006, 6/01 - 8/27. And in 2007, 6/1 - 8/26. So i'm having issues charting the data by week. I found if i use the datepart function to pull the 'week' number of the year (1 thru 52), i can get the data to appear right - it shows weeks 22-36. But this obviously, isn't how i want the chart to display.
The other issue is that i have a formula to calculate and show each of the rolling 5 years. So my legend shows each of my 5 formula names. Again, i don't want to deliver the report like this. I'd rather show the years, but since this report is automated, i dont want to hardcode them in.
Any help on the legend or week issue is appreciated. Thanks!
