Hi,
Does anyone know how to reposition a dynamic connection point in Visio 2003 Pro?
I'm creating a database diagram and the connection point of one of the entities is currently on the bottom side.
I would like to move it to the right side of the entity but it breaks the connection point when I drag it.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

PS: Is it ok to post Visio 2003 Pro questions here or is there another forum?

1)Select Shape (Entity, for example)
2)Select Connection point Tool (Ctrl+Shift+1)
3)Holding CTRL set Connection point, where you want.
4)Glue dinamic connector to new con.point.

Thanks for your help but I still can't get it to do what I want. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same kind of connection type (I may have used the wrong terminology in my original post) so I will explain in more detail.
I have two entities that are connected by foreign key relationship (generated by reverse engineering). One entity is positioned at the top left of the page. The other entity is posioned below it and to the right. The connection line is currently "L" shaped (bottom of one entity to left side of the other entity). When I click on the connection line, two plain red squares appear at each end of the line. There is also a green diamond at the right angle point plus two green x marks at the mid way points. What I want to do is move the connection point from the bottom side of the top entity to the right side of the top entity (with the connection point on the other entity remaining the same). This requires that an additional right angle be created to allow the connection to poit to the left rather than straight up.
I have tried everything (including your suggestion) but it still doesn't work.
I have only used visio for a few days so I know nothing about all the features (althogh I would like to learn). I would appreciate it if you could give me a little more help with this problem and may be even recommend a good book that explains this kind of thing.
Thank you.

Thank you very much for your time and effort. I appreciate you providing me the step by step guide, I wish I had a book that did the same.
I understand how to do it now but would have thought it would be much easier.
There aren't any books for Visio 2003 as it's only just been released. I'm wondering if I should wait or just buy a Visio 2002 book. Is there a big difference?
Thanks again for your help.

For beginer user there is no difference between Visio 2002 and Visio 2003 book and interface. Any Visio 2002 book will be useful. Difference will be in For Advanced User books.

One point to be aware of is Visio 2000 & 2002 will read each others files, 2003 will read 2000 & 2002 but 2000 & 2002 will not open 2003 files.
I have all three programs & if you have previous info in a particular format it is best making modifications or just reading in the format the file was written, if that makes sense
