We are currently trying to make the decision to use either CR9 of Quick Reports, we develop apps with Delphi 7.

Anyway, the question I have is, Can CR9 handle Dynamic Columns? For Example we have a query that can change the amount of columns in a result set based on the Users Selection. I am assuming this will be a combination of work both in Delphi and Crystal Reports. Can anyone assist ?

If a CrossTab (values rather than columns), the answer is Yes.

If real dynamic columns, the answer is generally no, unless you use the report creation API (or willing to play with showing/hiding sections with different number of columns).

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Thread149-655589 shows a method that uses parameters to determine the columns used in the report.
