Dynamic Address Translation in VM systems

Hi!

Not entirely sure if this is the proper forum for this sort of question but its the only one that came up in a search for memory!

Anyway, I was wondering....

I know what DAT is...but I dont know how it works!

Several google searches have failed so I would most appreciate it if someone could clear it up for me.

I know it maps virtual addresses to real addresses very quickly...but how is this achieved?

Why are you asking? It would help if we had some specifics on what you are trying to accomplish.

Well I just wanted to know how it works not just what it does, part of exam revision!
