I have a CM 4 8720 server 2 which died last night. Can I use the image I have of Server 1 and reconfigure it to be my server 2.

You should image a new server with the correct cm4 software.
Then you could use a backup of server 1 or server 2 to restore the replacement server.

You could use the Server 1 image to build a replacement Server 2, then reconfigure the replacement as Server 2.
You would not want to have the replacement server connected to Server 1 or the network while doing this.

First of all let me say thanks for your insight. I have used many of your post to solve numerous problems with the Definity over the years. I inherited this system and have none of the original software and all of the backups are corrupted. Rock and a hard place... Avaya doesn't support this anymore any ideas?
