We used to have an ALPS dye sublimation printer, which had the great feature of actually printing white lettering. When this died we were unable to get a new one, but managed to get hold of a 2nd hand OKI printer which was, all but identical.

Now this has died - terminally, and I don't seem to be able to get hold of a suitable replacement printer - must be able to print white lettering on A4 transparency (decal) paper.

Does anyone know of a suitable alternative printer (I am in the UK by the way)

Many thanks

Roger

It is discontinueed here in the staes, but you migt also look for a Citizen Printiva. I have one prints great on decal film and uses same ribbons as ALPS. Might also check Yahoo groups for the ALPS group. They offer user support for ALPS and Micro-dry printing.

Thanks for the info - knew about the Oki but not the Citizens.

Discontinued over here too, but will monitor all the second hand and discontinued items sites.

Someone has suggested that some of the photo printers are dye sublimation, so will look into that also.
