DXD Transfer return

need to direct DXD transfer return to an answering machine in a port other than ext 10.... is this even possible??
or do we have to have cust. fwd 10 to ans machine ext?.

fea 306 will change the transfer return extension, for all unanswered DXD transferred calls, but any unanswered calls transfewrred from ext 10 will also go to the new extension.

Hi ZoominCo,
Is there a vm unit on that system? Or is this rudimentary voicemail you are making? If you have vm, why not send the call to the main attendant?
Of course, you could always connect the ans machine to ext 10 with the phone. Set the answering machine to pick up when the receptionist isn't there.

Gene, thats what I thought, & that would create even more problems.

No Chris, No voice mail, this is an ASA/DXD card used for automated attendant. Cust wanted transfer return to go to an analog answer machine on its own port. I tried to get them to go for a Partner messaging when they upgraded to ACS but they weren't willing to spend the $$ !!

Hey Jim,
How about putting the ans. machine on ext 10. They just need to put it answer mode when they want it on.

I think we all have customers like that....
