Hi Guys,

I have an oddball problem. We have two DWL-1000 wireless access points in a new office. These are setup at opposite ends of the building.

I have been having itermittent issues with one of these things for awhile, but the other (lets call it B) always worked fine, until recently.

A few weeks ago, B started acting up. I could not access it's web-based interface without taking it completey off the network and setting up a laptop with a crossover cable to access it directly. Before this I noticed that it's network busy light was flashing repeatedly at a high rate. I then changed some settings, including the ip address and the broadcast ID. This seemed to fix things. It has worked for weeks without problems.

Now the boss is back(he is the guy using wireless) and it is acting up again - same symptoms - the network light is going nuts and I cannot either ping it or access the web interface - it's like it's getting bombarded with data. I do not broadcast the SSID of the wireless and I changed it's name, so I can't see how someone is trying to get into it - it acts like it is just too busy to work correctly.

My switch that it is connected to does not indicate any errors with the port it is plugged into.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Seriously, you should upgrade your equipment and get support for 802.11g with WPA. It would only cost you $150 (including a new card for your boss), your network is not secure with WEP.
