In a 70 autocad user environment how can I generate one (1) log file for all users with the following information:
Date – Time – User name – File Name (full path)
05/10/04,11:04,John Doe,p:\98745\plots\a1.dwg
etc.

As a Cad Manager I would like to monitor who accessed which autocad files and when on the network, and be able to create a report at the end of each month.

Please advice,
Thanks

Hi Fred,

If you don't have a document management system, which I'm guessing you don't, you'll need to write a VBA routine to trap on the open event, when a user opens a file, just write out the information. This can be as fancy as an ADO routine to talk to a database, excel, etc, or just write it a text file.
