.dwg CAD files inserted to 3D Viz????

I need help on inserting a .dwg file from Auto CAD 2000i into 3D Studio Viz alls it does is insert the slab and i am tryin to creat a movie through a house using Viz but i cant get it inserted correctly, your help will be greatly appreciated and thanx for your help.

just thought i would add i am usin Autodesk 3D Studio Viz R3i and Auto CAD 2000i and i would like to insert the CAD drawing into Viz to make a movie.

how are you inserting it?
the best way is to insert it as a linked DWG (go to insert, then linked DWG). You can then choose the layers you want inserted from autocad, make sure all the ones you want are there...
