DVDRW is detected as a removable device, cant use it.

One of our machines has 2 dvd burners in it, but one of them is listed as a removable device, in my computer, and in Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management

I am unable to use the drive thats being misdetected, and its hampering me quite a bit.

Ive googled till Im blue.

Any ideas?

Does it have nVidia Chipset? if so uninstall the following driver: nVIDIA SataIDE driver that came with the nForce chipset drivers.

[ul][li]Brand/model # of PC - if is an OEM machine[/li]
[li]Motherboard model # and/or chipset[/li]
[li]Brand/model # of burner that's being troublesome[/li]
[li]is the burner IDE or SATA?[/li]
[li]What CD/DVD burning app(s) are installed and/or used on that machine?[/li][/ul]
