When I logon to my domain I cannot read the files on my DVD ROM drive, but when I logon to the local machine the drive functions normally. Does anyone know which setting needs to be changed?

Thanks in advance

The drive appears with the disc label in My Computer, but double-clicking on the drive produces no result. If you choose EXPLORE, the desktop appears in a window. If I put in an audio CD it plays fine.

Whether CD or DVD, if it has data files on it it will not list the contents. I tried a retail program CD and the result is the same. I tried a Vista DVD and autorun worked, but I still could not explore the contents.

I log in as a domain admin and administrator on the local machine.

OK, I created a new user and added the user to the same groups. That user can access the drive contents normally AND the original user can now do so as well!! Why?

Hi,

I was expecting it to work at the new user as I thought it would be something which is corrupt in the administrator profile which is causing the problem, however with it now working for both users this blows this theory out of the water.

Either way, I'm glad it now works.

Thanks.
