Hey,

I was looking to buy a DVD burner and came across this one:

I didn't know that any one DVD player could play both +R/-R. Any ideas or suggestions would me much appreciated! Thanks!

Yep, Most new drives are able to do multi-format dvd's. I have 2. an optorite 4x that can do both formats, and a hitachi that can do both, cost a little more then single format drives but, versatility pays for itself. I have had no problem with either drive,in either format, including dvd/rw. Nero 6 is great.

Do you mean to say that you didn't know that any one DVD burner could burn both +R/-R?

Well, it's true that a lot of them exist. The battle of becoming the superior format didn't last long between +R and -R. Dual-format burners came out within months of +R's release.
