You'd be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't have a dvd player on their Windows box. I have a dvd drive but when I search for "dvd player linux", all the sites I find make it sound like the feds will send me to the Big House for even thinking about it. I don't want to copy them mind you, I just want to install a cotton pickin' player like the Windows users have.

Hi,
The one I use is Xine --> . However, 'due to legal reasons' etc. they only ship it in a way that plays unencrypted DVDs. You then need to fix it to play encrypted stuff via dvdcss. Have a look at --> .
