I just got a dvd burner. Like a good boy i paid for the dvd burning s\ware and got ripped, this s\ware only uses cdroms and regular burner, a learning experience i guess. So i got a copy of dvd xcopy express and it wouldnt work at all. I got another copy of dvd xcopy, its v1.52 I believe.
This one works! It shows me what is on the dvd and what i can do without to try and put it all on one dvd. Some dvd's will fit on one burned dvd and others you need to eliminate some extra stuff and it will fit. Still others, like the matrix movie, no matter what i do it takes just a bit over one dvdrom and i have to use a second one.
So my question is is there a better prog out there that will burn all dvds to only one dvdrom no matter what?
I am only burning them so that i can keep my originals and not have to use them, that way they are always in good shape as i will only play the copies.

thanks in advance as i know there are people out there who have a lot more knowledge than someone who just got his dvd burner!

You could try using Nero burning Rom 6. This has DVD burning enabled as do later versions of Nero 5.5, but I would suggest Nero 6 for better compatability. This may alow you to over burn you disc's. I haven't got a DVD burner myself, but I am able to over burn CD's. Someone else may come up with a better solution though, as this may not work or may not even be possible with DVD's.
