DV camera

Hi all:

just want some suggestions about a DV camera, I have a 3 month old son, I need to start shooting some video of his and burn the video into VCD or DVD and onto computer digital format so we can keep it for at least 10-20 years, I am a novice on video stuff, and cheap-a**, is there any good model of DV camera will do these for under $600 ?

If you're a real hardcore cheapskate then i'd suggest ebay... You'll always find the cheaper items of this world there.
