Got a whacky text message from an old management address for a non profit (obviously the new administrators are not taking the time to check things) - I stupidly opened it but had the presence of mind to check the code, which showeld duration.gif in the embedded folder of Eudora.
An immediate attempt to delete it failed due to a sharing violation, meaning that something went on - the mail was since deleted. I was able to delete it by closing out and restarating, but I have no doubt that there's something backdoor on the system now. Anyone heard of this? The gif file is whate and shows only when the entire message is selected. What am I looking for?
Note that updating security patches left me needing to repair MS, which means that not all (few, actually) patches are in place. AVG only, spy blaster. Running spy bot now. Firewall w on 't work with SBC. May be in for some unpleasantness.
