duplicating image

I have a few objects on the bottom of the screen-and a grid on top. Now I want the user to be able to drag and drop a few of the same image-ex. circle, square-so how can I make sure there are around 10 shapes on the bottom-one on top of the other-with the same action? I tried duplicate movie-but that only created an extra one-and then the two sort of snapped back together.

can you run duplicateMovie through a for loop and change the x,y for each movie so they do not snap together...
