Duplicating folder permission 1

Have 2 NT 4.0 Servers - PDC and BDC.

Depts and Users' folders on PDC are mirrored on BDC for redundancy purpose.

Can anyone advice how I can mirror (without doing it one by one) the folder & file permissions on the PDC to the BDC, so that the permissions of the BDC's Dept and User file and folder are identical to the PDC's.

HI.

You can use SCOPY or ROBOCOPY from the resource kit to copy files with permissions (I didn't check if you can copy only the permissions).

You can use ROBOCOPY to do the actual mirroring work, just read its doc before use.

If you can't get those tools or they don't help you, you can use my Permiter utility to asist you with the job of setting permissions:
