Duplicating data in fields

How do I duplicate data from one field to another? I have field called "Part Number" I only want to enter the part number once in the field and then have it enter automatically for each record after that. Can this be done?

I am pretty sure the answer is yes...but can you please be a little more descriptive to your problem/question? There is no scenario provided...therefore, it's rather hard to provide a solution for your problem. -Ovatvvon :-Q
