My company does accounting outsourcing work for abount 40 other companies. One of our clients is opening another branch and requires us to start work on the new one.

Since the chart of accounts is the same (in terms of accounting codes), can I just:

1. Create folders in Company & Data subfolders ie ABC2INC, ABC2DAT

2. Copy the respective original - ABCINC & ABCDAT contents to these folders

3. Somehow zero out all the data in the tables

4. Go into Database Setup and create the links to ABC2 company?

PS. I have the chart of accouts in Excel!

No, that would be too easy, and there aint no Easy button.

You need to:
1. Create a new company in Accpac Database setup
2. Activate the modules required in the company
3. Setup GL segments and account structures, then import the chart of accounts
4. Complete the setup of the other modules...
