Hi there,

I am creating a program in which the user can drag and drop multiple icons from a menu onto the main stage. The initial icon remains in the menu thus allowing multiple (around 20) icons to be dropped onto the main stage. I think I need to use duplicatemovieclip to achieve this but cannot seen to make it work. I want the clip that the user drops to be draggable but not to duplicate itself as currently happens. Any one got any ideas??
Also is there a way to make the icons 'snap' together when placed. I can make them drop onto a target and restrict their movement along the 'y' axis but have not sussed a way out for the icons to stop overlapping.

Thanks in advance

I'm actually trying to do something similar-so how did you end up doing it-the replication and the snapping?
