Hi everyone,

i'm creating a datawarehouse model with powerdesigner.

I have a CDM with relations between entities. When i generate the pdm, i get duplicated rows in the destiny table. For instance, if i have a COD_CLIENT row, i'll get a COD_CLIENT and COD_CLIENT2 row. This only happens with foreign keys, so it must be a reference conflict.

Any help?

You didn't mention whether the duplicate coulumns represented foreign keys, but I'm going to make that assumption going in.

PowerDesigner will generate (auto-migrate) the FK columns from the parent table (entity) to the child table for you, based on the relationships, unless you turn the auto-migrate option off in the model options.

Otherwise, you can omit those attributes from the child entities in the conceptual model, and let PD generate them into the corresponding tables for you in the physical model.
