I am using crystal reports 2008. I am trying to prevent duplicate records from appearing on my report.

I have 2 fields; account number and stock number.
The majority of the time each account number will have a different stock number. But sometimes I have a stock number with multiple account numbers.

400012345 3AABB98908AC33300
400066688 1CCCC44444XX33333

What kind of formula could be used to prevent the first example from appearing?

I suppose if you sorted by account number you could suppress the stock number by using the Next function (i.e., {stocknumber} = next({stocknumber}).

I hope this helps.
