I have a report that is returning multiple values but i only want it to return the one that has the greatest date I am using this:

{Command.chkiDocumentDate}=maximum({Command.chkiDocumentDate},({Command.cusname}))

in the group selection formula editor but it is not removing all the duplicate records

Any suggestions
Thank you

It doesn't remove them, it merely suppresses them.

You only want a 1row report?

Try posting more information, including your Crystal version and database.

im using crystal reports 10 and sql 2000

In the report each customer has one or more loans.
Each loan may be duplicated because of a checklist item.

But I only want it to show the loan with the greatest date.

Remove or supress doesnt matter just as long as they dont show.

Is there any other information that would help in figuring this out?

Thank you

If a customer has multiple records with the maximum chkidocumentdate then all of those records will be displayed. If you only want 1 record to display with the greatest date then group on customer and sort by date and display all your data in the customer group footer and suppress the detail section.
