Duplicate progams in Taskbar

I do not know if anyone has experienced this problem, but i am having two of the same programs or applications on more taskbar. If i click Outlook, it shows up twice in the taskbar and for any other program. I read changing regional settings for the language bar would help, but it does not.

I really need to fix this problem if anyone has any knowledge of a fix. Thank you.

Have a look at the task manager. Are there two instances too? It is possible that you have your system set to one click launch and you're double clicking, hence ending up with two instances.

How are you launching them: from explorer or from quick launch. I always have a problem with quick launch. They are buttons so double clicking will launch two instances.

Do you see the same behavior from Safe Mode, or from Normal Mode but as a different user?

Can System Restore or a Taskbar repair tool solve the problem?
