My sub report returns duplicate output. When I run it by itself it returns 1 record per page (just what I want). But, as a sub report, inside a report that contains other sub reports, it returns 1 record per page but they all appear twice.

Any suggestions on how to begin solving this one?

thanks,

Brian

How is your subreport linked? What is the record source of your main report? It's probably an interaction of the two.

The report and sub report are not related and contain no parent/child relationship.

Why do I want a sub report that is not related? I am consolidating unrelated reoprts and distributing via email by use of a macro. Rather than send 4 reports, I am consolidating them into one using this method.

Maybe there is a better way.

What about your main report? Is it entirely blank? Even if the two are not linked, if you somehow get two details you will get two copies of the subreport.

Let me see if I understand this...

I will get a copy of the subreport for each record returned in the main report, even if they are not linked.

That makes sense since I put this subreport in the detail section. Maybe if I put it in the report footer...?

Anyway, thanks for the help.

I got what I want bt placing the subreport in the main report footer.
