Duplicate Mailbox data

We are getting a 7040 error. Which states a mailbox has data on a server, that is not the home server. Mailbox shows up in Mailbox resources on both servers. Both show data in the mailbox. Under server reecipients, it just shows upp on the server, both servers show as the home server. How do we remove the mailbox from the second server?
