hi,

I am getting following error message while booting up my computer, before windows starts(Windows 98 se):

The device vcd is found twice in the SYSTEM.INI file, please remove the duplicate entry of the device vcd from the SYSTEM.INI file and restart your computer.

Now i don't know which entry(line) should i delete from the SYSTEM.INI file? I found following 2 entries, which contain the word vcd, in SYSTEM.INI file:

device=motvcd.vxd

device=*vcd

Please assist with this matter. Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't know what either of them do, but I'd try getting rid of both of them, just put a ; as the first character on teh line, and see what happens. If this works, leave it, if stuff starts acting funny, use trial-and-error to remove the comments and see which one is the one giving the error.

Good Luck!
As always, I hope that helped!
