I get this error message when trying to copy a layer from one DWG into another:

Duplicate definition of block BORDER-C ignored.

I have no idea what this means. I've tried to ensure the layers are different names etc but I can't figure out how to rename blocks and to be honest I don't understand blocks.

I'm not a cad user but we use it to setup programs. Your help would be great.

Thank you.

I would guess that the layer you are copying from drawing 2 to drawing 1 contains the block "BORDER-C" which exists already in drawing 1. They could be identical or different blocks; AutoCAD has to use only one definition so it ignores the dwg2 block definition. Is not a problem if blocks are identical. To rename blocks, use the command "rename".

HTH!
