Hi there,
I have a database which contain past records of cancer cases. I've set it out so each record describes one cancer.
Database Name- Hutt
Table- Results
Fields for the table are as follows
Lesion ID| PtID|RecordDate|PathologyReprt|Dx|MultipleEntry |TumourNo|
As multiple cancers can be described in one pathology report these records have been duplicated accordingly with their corresponding number in the field: tumour code.
The PathologyReprt is in a memo field.
1) Unfortunately these records have duplicated themselves a lot more than once. How would I remove these extra records?
2) There is an added complication. The PathologyReprt field varies in whether it contains a full report or not from duplicate to duplicate. Obviously the record with the highest nmber of characters will be the full report. Is there anyway to delete the other duplicates but leave the record with the full pathology report.
At a complete loggerhead here so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
broni
