Duplicate copies of INBOX.

A user keeps getting x amount of copies of my INBOX open in Lotus Notes.

10 minutes ago he had 3 copies of my INBOX open.
He closed 2 copies.
Just returned to PC to find 3 copies of INBOX open again.

This has been happening for a while.

What could be causing this? Could Lotus Notes be opening a new copy of the INBOX for every email received? He is at another site with no PC Support so I am unable to see his PC, just telephone support.
