Hi there, a new problem has popped up.

I don't know exactly HOW widespread it is, but for a few particular users, whenever an appointment is created with the same name as a previously named appointment (subject) it is duplicated.

For instance "Monday Staff Meeting" will show up, then about 10 seconds later, a duplicate "Monday Staff Meeting" will appear.

Exchange 2007 SP1 Update Rollup 5

At first, I was going down the KB 949114 route re: Entourage and duplicate names.

But, I can verify this happens only when Outlook 2007 / Exchange 2007 are in play.

Test Scenario: Shutdown users Outlook. Create appointment. All is well. Open users Outlook. Within a minute, the appointment is duplicated.

I'm looking client side and don't see any plugins, or additional programs that are odd to me.

Any thoughts?

Check rules in Outlook first.

Then delete and recreate profile if it isn't a rule.

Then you may need a command line reset but not sure which one.

by "command line reset" do you mean the "/cleanprofile" switch when launching Outlook?

This one sure is crazy.

Yes but not necessarily /cleanprofile though that would be a good one to try first.
