Duplicate an item using click-drag

Is there a way in QuarkXPress 8 to duplicate an item using the mouse and a key to click and drag? I know Cmd+D duplicates things, but when it duplicates, it's not aligned with the original item. I would like to be able to click and drag while pushing Shift to keep the duplicated item inline. As it is, I have to manually enter the position to align it.
