I know how to have multiple TN's have the same DN with a digital set (2616)but I don't know how to do it with an anolog (500)set. There's no key to select.

The DN prompt needs to be the same on all the phones.

The number assigned to an analog set is found under the DN prompt.

Sorry I'm new at this and new to programmin too. I have a fax line DN 2299 and want a new TN with the same DN. What's the programming? Thanks for your patience!

TomB, Well, easiest way is to just go into LD 10, and PRT that fax line, then you can create a new one just like it.

Here ya go:
Code:
>ld 10 <- Ld 10 is for Analog Phones
PBX000
MARP NOT ACTIVATED

REQ: prt <- Print
TYPE: dnb <- By DN

MARP NOT ACTIVATED

CUST
DN 4886 <- My fax line, put 2299 for yours

CUST 00

DN 4886
TYPE L500
TN 000 0 03 00 MARP DES FAX 19 OCT 2009

Then do a print by TNB

Code:
REQ: prt
TYPE: tnb
TN 0 0 3 0

Thanks, Ryan it does. Here's the existing. I tried cpy 1 in LD 20 but it wouldn't accept the same DN.

Ahh, ok you know the cpy command, easy then, when you copy it assign a NEW DN to it, then after it is built go back in with a CHG command, and change the DN of it to the FAX DN you want to use. That should work. Give it a go and let me know!

That was too easy! I should have thought of trying that. Thank you very much my friend(s).

Hey no problem! Now you know . . and I hear that is half the battle . . .
