Duplicate Acks, four or five to be exact

Secured traffic (ssl) coming from me is being sent, while it is my computer sends duplicate ack packets. i dont see return packets for the duplicates back from the server though, it just keeps sending the information as normal.
by the way could someone also explain why the modem i am using's mac address is being displayed as 00:01:00:00:01.
