Our undocked users who sit on a dbf platform are updated certain user defined fields and then sync into our SQL database. When looking into GoldMine it shows the updates however when running filters or running a crystal report it pulls on the old data.

I have created a simple SQL statement: Select * from Contact2 where accountno = '98033141760451072Gle'

This pulls two rows of data. The first row, new information, which is the information you see when viewing the user defined fields in GoldMine. The second row, old information, is what the filters and crystal reports are pulling.

Please help!

Hi

Duplicate C2 records can happen. What version of GoldMine are you using? If you are using a versionm prior to 5.7 then make sure that you have the following line

newcomplete=1

under the [GoldMine] section of each GM.INI file on every GoldMine system (server and remote). This won't fix the current problem but will go some way to prevent the problem in the future.

As for fixing the current problem, then try Prior Analytics's free FixContact2 utility available from - found under Downloads | Utilities.

To use:
Make sure you take a backup.

1. Run the GoldMine system with the duplicate Contact2 records.
2. Run the FixContact2.exe
3. Select 'Remove Duplicate Contact2 Records' option
4. You can also perform the other Contact2 fix items:

Remove Orphaned Contact2 Records - Deletes C2 records with no corresponding C1 record

Create Missing Contact2 Records - Creates a C2 record for each C1 record without a corresponding C2 record

5. Click 'OK'

This should sort out your Contact2 table. The program is fully Synchronisation aware.

Hope this helps

Robert
