Duplicate a task with different due dates

To anyone who can help,

I currently created a form where a person enters a task and enters in a due date.\
Some of these tasks will need to be repeated regualrly.

What would be the best way to do this: I need to take this task (record), and when this task gets completed it will duplicate itself but the due date will change depending on what the user inputs.

If you mean to copy the record, there are several ways to do this. From the above it would seem that only some records need to be duplicated, so perhaps the best way is to include a field that flags a repeating task. When the complete date is filled in to such a record, the user is asked for a new date and the record is duplicated with that date.
